We got married on 1 October in Dublin and hosted our wedding reception in the Ballroom at Fallon & Byrne, after having met in Dublin 6 years prior while both of us studied at Trinity College. To say our return to Dublin was a homecoming of sorts is an understatement, and we were highly meticulous in our research process to find the very best vendors to work with given we had 100 friends and family from America flying in. We planned the wedding remotely and worked with Waterlily weddings who shared Darragh's details with us fairly early in our process. After highly engaging conversations we booked our contract and worked in the intervening months on our tentative playlist. Shortly before the wedding Darragh and we reviewed our songs, further discussed the vibe we were going for (as young 20-somethings living in NYC, vibe was PARTY!) and we handed the reins over to him. When Darragh arrived and set up at our reception and got the music going, we do not exaggerate saying that EVERYONE hit the dance floor and did not leave until we were kicked out ~5 hours later at 2am. I've never been at a wedding where the music being played continued to engage the crowd for hours at a time - it was a truly magical time that we are so happy to have experienced. My husband and I had eclectic taste for our wedding playlist :D but Darragh was totally up for it and really brought to life the vibe we wanted at our wedding!
